FEELS LIKE UGG

MATTE and UGG continued their mission to create comfortable spaces that foster boundless self-expression with the next iteration of Feel House in Palm Springs.

For Coachella weekend, we invited 37 influencers and VIPs to the Villa Royale for a multisensory experience that merged the power of fashion and music. We curated a launch party, followed by four days of programming that championed creativity–heroing The Aww Yeah shoe and unveiling an exclusive print in partnership with KidSuper.

UGG X KIDSUPER COLLABORATION

The two forces of fashion came together to design a co-branded print exclusively for Feel House Palm Springs that fused the whimsical design of KidSuper with the unmatched feel of UGG. The print was used for custom shoes and merchandise guests could wear to the festival, spreading the UGG footprint across the grounds of Coachella.

UGG Feel House Reimagined

Taking the DNA of our Feel House past while capturing the essence of KidSuper’s ethos, this event reimagined tactility, creativity, and a sense of adventure through a playful and colorful lens. The backdrop of Palm Springs offered nature in an inviting way; bold insertions of color laid the foundation of the space; And inflatable-inspired structures invoked the design of The Aww Yeah shoe.

ARRIVING AT UGG FEEL HOUSE WITH KIDSUPER

The gate to the Villa Royale was reimagined with KidSuper x UGG artwork, inviting guests into our sensorial wonderland. Once inside, a brick pathway led to a photo moment: a KidSuper graphic wall complete with a full-length mirror for selfies. Further into the venue, visitors were welcomed by an exhibit of UGG designer collabs, displayed on acrylic plinths with die-cut vinyls as museum-style plaques.

BY THE POOL

The pool area of the hotel was transformed into a creative sanctuary–with KidSuper graphics, amorphous seating, and elements that mimicked the visual vocabulary of The Aww Yeah. The sounds of DJ Jadaboo filled the space, as guests enjoyed signature event cocktails by the bar. A striking display of KidSuper ensembles and custom UGGs sparkled in the pool’s reflective light, catching eyes from all corners of the venue.

THE EXPRESSION WALL

Anchoring the central pool space, an eye-catching KidSuper x UGG wall became a backdrop for fun photo moments. The backside of the wall served as an outlet for creative expression: a chalkboard where guests could make their mark on the experience.

FEEL-GOOD ENTERTAINMENT

The event offered creative outlets and activations to uplift and inspire guests to feel good in their own creativity. A photobooth from Halo Auragraphic captured visitors’ energy on film, and offered an aura reading of the meaning of the colors. Meanwhile, a customization station featured famous tattoo artist Jordan Hart, who personalized UGGs for each guest.

WEEK-LONG PROGRAMMING

As the influencers continued their stay at the Villa Royale, the curated spaces by MATTE remained to keep up the creative energy all Coachella long; plus new experiences were offered, like tooth gem application.

The hotel rooms were decorated with vinyls and QR codes that drove to a KidSuper x UGG Snapchat filter for selfie moments to be shared on social. Sensory-themed gifts were also seeded to influencers to elevate and commemorate the experience, including stick-on gems and KidSuper-designed totes, embroidered robes, and beach towels.
