In collaboration with Yves Saint Laurent Beauté, MATTE spotlighted dancer, Jaxon Willard, and musician, DJ Kittens, in two new episodes of the brand’s ongoing docuseries entitled Push the Boundaries which explores creative and cultural movements where talented people dare to play with the limits of society.
Meet Kittens (she/they)
All too often, the default is to care about what everyone else thinks, but Kittens has learned to live by the mantra, “get out of your own way”.

A self-taught DJ, she combined her relentless curiosity with the influences around her to create music as bold as she is. Kittens knows what it’s like to ditch the whole idea you have for your life and go down a different path, which is why she has created platforms to help others do the same.
SHE/HER/THEY PODCAST
Kittens has surpassed the boundaries set before her, and has positioned themselves to help others do the same through PWR – a celebrated series of non-profit DJ workshops for women and marginalized genders she created – as well as her own podcast “SHE/HER/THEY with KITTENS” – intended for audiences who transcend identity expectations.
Meet Jaxon (he/him)
Inspired by the things he is often told not to do, Jaxon is a 21 year old dancer and choreographer from Salt Lake City, Utah. Over the years he has learned to embrace what makes him different in the world of dance. He uses his growing platform to share his adoption story and how it shapes him to the star he is today. He was recently featured in FKA Twigs “Tears in the Club” video where he was referred to as a guiding star in his discipline.
