The first-ever stateside La Luna was a sultry summer dance affair with an independent, passionate spirit.
New York’s performance art center, Knockdown Center, housed an energized lineup of 16 musicians such as DJ Harvey, Moodymann and DJ Tennis, shared across five stages for a 12-hour collective dance to the Moon.
Sharp music curation met environmentally conscious event production to make La Luna as sustainable as possible.
By partnering with environmental organizations CHOOOSE, Parley, Ever & Ever and Klean Kanteen, La Luna recycled 600 pounds of waste, collected 1,000 gallons of compost and offset 754 metric tons of carbon dioxide.
The day and night provided a feel-good, do-good taste of summer in an effort to evolve eco-friendly mindfulness within experiential spaces.
La Luna’s celebration of summer was made even more memorable with the participation of MatchaBar, Heineken, Lyft, Recess, Select Aperitivo, Klean Kanteen, Supergoop!, Nomadica, Ilegal Mezcal, Gertie, JaJaJa, and Van Leeuwen.
Purposeful in production, the raw and organic settings of radicalpress La Luna were filled with a romance dedicated to the dance music we love.
